There are multiple reasons a merchant may need to update the bank account their payouts are sent to. To better protect our merchants, additional steps have been added to validate both the bank account is correct and that the request to update has been requested by a user with the proper permissions.
This is available on all brands and on both Stripe and Adyen processors.

Note: There isn’t an edit on accounts that already exist on the portal, the only method to edit an account is to add a new bank account.

Adyen - The popup will ask if you want to add the account manually or automatically.
Automatic will ask you what bank you use and then it will access that banks online login page and have you securely log into your business account. It will then pull the routing number, account number, and name on the account from the bank itself and validate the account instantly.
Manually will ask for the routing and account number be input manually, it will also have the merchant upload a bank document to validate the details on the account (Bank statement or Voided check work best).

Note: The name on the bank account needs to match either the legal business name or the DBA that is used. This is the most common issue for bank accounts being delayed in their validation.

Stripe - The popup will ask for all details for the new bank account.
The banking information will then be securely transmitted to Stripe to be validated and added.
