✨ Follow these steps to set up AIM Payments using a P5 Terminal.
Step 1: Ensure the Latest Version is Installed
- Go to the Tritech Retail Member Portal.
- Download and install the latest version of AIM (this will also update existing installations).
- Open AIM and navigate to:Help > About AIM.
- Verify the Program File Version is 12.0.3.11 or later (older versions do not support payments).
Step 2: Configure AIM Payments
- Access Workstation Settings:
- Go to Maintenance > General > Workstations.
- Select the CC tab.
- Update Payment Settings:
- Set the POS Gateway to AIM Payments.
- Enter the following credentials (obtained from the Payment Portal):
- Account ID (found in PayFac under the merchant’s profile).
- Username (found in PayFac under the merchant’s profile).
- Password (found in PayFac under the merchant’s profile).
- Terminal ID (obtained by pairing the P5 device in the Payment Portal).
- Configure Fallback Gateway (Optional):
- Set the Fallback Gateway to OpenEdge if the merchant needs token continuity.
- Enable Tip Prompt (Optional):
- Check the Prompt for Tip box to enable tipping.
- Configure gratuity options under the POS section.
Step 3: Pair Card Readers and Test Transactions
- Ensure card readers are properly paired with AIM.
- Perform a Test Transaction:
- In AIM Payments, go to File > Quick Sale.
- Select an item or SKU.
- Click Authorize Card and use a credit card on the paired reader.
- Click Finalize Transaction to complete the process.
Step 4: Process Refunds/Returns
- Access the Refund Module:
- In AIM Payments, go to Modules > Returns > Merchandise Return.
