❗ 1. Payment Declined

A decline usually means the bank rejected the transaction.

Common reasons:

🔎 How to verify the decline:

  1. Go to PayFac → https://payments.quiltsoftware.com
  2. Search the merchant’s business name
  3. Open Payments tab
  4. Look for a recent transaction with Declined or Error
  5. Click the transaction → read the logs → explain the reason to the merchant

If PayFac shows "Declined," there is nothing wrong with the P5 or POS.

🪫 If the terminal errors out before a card is even attempted, check the battery level.
