Use this when a merchant on LifeSaver Legacy Desktop POS is having issues taking card payments with a P5 terminal.
This assumes General Troubleshooting has been completed (WiFi, Awaiting Connection, Declines, Sync issues).
✅ 1. Pre-Checks
Verify:
- Merchant is using LifeSaver Legacy Desktop (not Cloud)
- External Account ID has already been entered in their POS
- A P5 terminal exists in Payment Portal
- Each workstation has its own unique Terminal ID
- P5 has stable Internet/WiFi
If anything is wrong → correct it before continuing.
🧲 2. Verify P5 in Payment Portal
The POS depends on terminals defined in the Payment Portal.
🧮 Step 1: Confirm Terminal Exists
- Open merchant’s Profile in Payment Portal
- Select Terminals
- Confirm for the P5:
- Terminal Type = P5
- Terminal ID exists
- Named clearly by workstation/location
If missing or outdated → re-pair below.
