Full French/English localization has been implemented to improve the user experience and comply with local and federal laws in some states and territories. This allows cardholders to see their preferred language based on the default language of the device.

Additional Details

After the 1.460 release the P5 terminal app has added full French/English localization which has been implemented to improve the user experience and comply with local and federal laws in some states and territories.

Note: The language selection will impact the language of the terminal and the language of the receipt.

Process

To change the default language (English) on the P5, follow the steps below:

• Close the app by sequentially tapping the four corners one at a time (top left, top right, bottom right, bottom left) and then press the ‘Close Application’ button.
• Once on the home screen swipe up from the bottom of the screen to show the device applications.
• Select on the ‘Settings’ and then select on ‘System’.
• Under the System menu click on the ‘Languages & Input’ option.
• Under ‘Languages’, English will be there as the default. Under that there will be an option to add a language.
• The terminal can then be configured to use French as the default language by clicking on the double lines on the right side of the screen and dragging the desired default language to the top of the list.
• The user can then press the center ‘Home’ icon at the bottom of the screen to return to the default terminal screen. From there, the Quilt Payments app should be selected.
