Stripe payfac was originally developed as a first iteration for Quilt payments before Adyen was implemented. There is a number of merchants both still on Stripe or using it because of brand/country limitations. Those brands include the following, mostly XBU brands:
- GrazeCart (SBU)
- Rain Retail
- Jewel360
- DiveShop 360
- ThriftCart
- eTailPet
General Stripe Functions and Policies:
- All payments are batched out at Midnight UTC time (8 pm EST 6 pm MT)
- Deposits are scheduled for the following business days from when payments are processed
- The relationship is similar to Adyen. Merchants cannot contact Stripe on their own; we act as the middle-man.
- Stripe MIDs always start with “acct” followed by numbers and letters. Example: “acct_1P7P1YIxuwxCJNxW”
- The Quilt Payfac Portal is how merchants access their reporting, similar to Adyen.
- Updating a bank account requires the merchant to login to the payfac portal, add the new bank account information, then one of us have to go through the Stripe Dashboard to complete the change (Set new account to default, then delete the old account)
- Disputes for Stripe are handled by the PAyfac Risk team like they do for Adyen.
- Stripe only operates on Flat Rate pricing for fees.
