๐ How to Get a Customer's SNAP Authorization Info (Without the Physical Permit)
Overview
If a retailer doesn't have their physical SNAP permit on hand, they can retrieve their official authorization details directly from the USDA FNS portal. This is the source of truth โ the physical permit simply reflects it.
Option 1 โ FNS Online Portal (Preferred)
- Go to https://www.fns.usda.gov/snap/retailer/application-status and log in using the credentials created during the original SNAP retailer application.
- Navigate to the store's authorization record. This will display the exact store name, address, FNS number, and primary contact as they appear in the USDA system.
- Take a screenshot of that page and send it to us.
Option 2 โ Call the SNAP Retailer Service Center
If the retailer can't access the portal or doesn't remember their login:
- Phone: 1-877-823-4369
- Hours: MondayโFriday, 8amโ8pm ET
- Ask them to confirm: Store name, address, primary contact, and FNS number exactly as listed on their authorization record.
